You were an outstanding year.

You gave me Maui.

You gave me the Normandy beaches and pristine cemeteries for Canadian soldiers.

You gave me an incredible night in Swiftieapolis with my amazing daughters, who introduced me to Taylor Swift’s discography in the most memorable way imaginable.

You gave me the gift of kayaking on placid Little Kenosee without another soul in sight.

You gave us the Colorado rockies, a Dunedin dolphin, the French Alps, and small town rodeos.

You gave me a safe, uneventful road trip to Yuma—with fall-embued colours in the Black Hills, Utah, and Grand Canyon.

You gave me the amazing, talented, fun-loving cast of Night at the Lamp, who turned a sub-par script into another Lampman Community Theatre masterpiece.

You gave me another novel to add to my resume.

You gave me the miracle of friendships that continue to grow and evolve—all the while opening us to welcome new friends into our fold.

You gave me the gift of good health in my 65th year.

You gave me another 365 days with the most generous, compassionate, and humourous partner a woman could ask for. We celebrated our 40th on August 9th.

As for the Blue Jays and Riders . . . bring on 2024.
